You have just had your beautiful Eyelash extensions done at the spa. Now what? How to properly take care of those darlings after your service:
Your eyelash cycle is approximately four to twelve weeks. If you do experience shedding in the first couple of days, it is most likely because your natural eyelashes were at the end of their cycle and ready to shed.
Avoid getting your lashes wet for at least 24 hours. You want the lash glue to properly adhere to each of your eyelashes and getting them wet will cause a bad adhesion. Also, throughout the time that you have your extensions you never want to submerge them in water or overly wet.
Disregard using mascara on the extensions as it will break down the glue and cause the eyelashes to fall off faster.
Abstain from using oils around the eye area. Avoid cleansing oils, oils in eyeliner, and be cautious of oils in cream shadows. The oil will also break down the adhesive and possibly cause the eyelashes to fall off.
Do not use any type of eyelash curler with your extensions.
Brush your lashes when it is needed. Over brushing can result in faster fallout due to pulling and tugging.
Please avoid any high heated areas such as hot showers and saunas. Did you know that a hair dryer can loosen the adhesive? So be careful. Heat also will straighten out the lashes.
We recommend to come in for fill ins every 2 to 2 ½ weeks to keep your lashes full and beautiful!
Use a eyelash growth serum, like Revitalash, to thicken and enrich your lashes while wearing extensions. This product helps keep healthy lashes all year long.
Always call the spa if you have any further questions and if you would like to get the lashes removed. Never try to remove the lashes yourself as it could harm your natural lashes.
We look forward to serving you and giving you the lashes of your dreams!
