Understand The Following regarding IPL {Intense Pulse Light} Services & Contraindications before Scheduling an appt.:
- Client must come with area wanting service clean SHAVEN
- The device used is the Remington I-LIGHT Pro system. This is an over the counter system intended for the removal of unwanted hair.
- Individual results may vary according to Remington. In their clinical testing ,participants had 47.8% fewer hairs six months after 3 treatments.
- If you have waxed, tweezed or epilated the hair in the treatment area, wait 6 weeks before using the system as the follicle will already be pulled out.
- The i-LIGHT Pro system should be used every two weeks for your first three treatments. After that use only as needed.
- The result could be permanent & irreversible so do not use the system on any area where you may someday want your hair to grow back.
- Understand that if you are pregnant or nursing, you are unable to have this service performed.
- Darker skin may absorb too much light energy which could cause skin swelling, temporary blisters, or could change the color of my skin. Therefore this is only used on Light skin. A skin test on the device MUST be passed first.
- Do not use on tattoos, dark brown or black spots (such as dark freckles,birth marks, moles or warts). If used on Tattoos or dark spots it may absorb too much light energy which could cause skin swelling, temporary blisters or could change the color of your skin.
- This system is not to be used on open wounds, cold sores, skin sensitive to light, sunburns or areas where you have had a skin peel or other skin resurfacing procedures within the last 6-8 weeks. Please check with your doctor. It is not to be used on irritated skin, including rashes or swollen skin.
- During treatment skin may feel warmth, tingling or itching. Redness or swelling may occur within 24 hours
- In rare cases, more hair growth may occur after treatment
- Do not directly look at the Intense Pulse light when being serviced by the system to avoid any possible eye injury
- There is a possible risk of skin discoloration
- Understand all of the risks and contraindication above before making an appointment. A liability waiver must be signed prior to services performed.
